On 28th of September 2016, a European Conference was organized in the framework of the EU-SOLARIS project. The conference took place in Brussels at Marriott Hotel Grand Place (Rue A. Orts 3-7, 1000 Brussels, Belgium), titled: "EU-SOLARIS: The European Infrastructure for Concentrated Solar Thermal and Solar Chemistry Technologies” European Conference.
The aim of the EU-SOLARIS European Conference was to present the vision, the achievements and the results of the EU-SOLARIS project and also give the future outlook on the research infrastructures development and Research and Technology Development (R&D) coordination in Europe, in the framework of the Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) and Solar Chemistry Technologies aspects and potentials in Europe.
Some of the conclusions of the conference are the importance of the establishment of EU-SOLARIS identity, which is expected to be a pillar for the promotion of CST and Solar Chemistry technologies field and that in order to succeed in this scope the participating the EU-SOLARIS countries – through the Board of Governmental Representatives - should proceed in active participation and engagement to this goal.
