The concept : “Point concentration of solar energy by multiple flat or slightly curved reflective surfaces”

Basic components : The Solar Tower concentrating solar mechanism is composed of numerous heliostats and the solar tower. Each heliostat consists of the reflective flat or slightly curved surface (mirror), the metal structure and the tracking mechanism whereas the solar tower of the supporting structure and the receiver.
Operation principle : The heliostats track the sun in two axes in order to concentrate the solar irradiation to the receiver located at the solar tower. The receiver converts the concentrated irradiation to useful heat.
